Soccer Game Preview: Golden Valley vs. Tehachapi

The Golden Valley Bulldogs will take on the Tehachapi Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Golden Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season.

Tehachapi will be up against a hot Golden Valley team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Golden Valley never let Arvin onto the board and left with a 5-0 win on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Arvin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Anthony Munoz (2), Anthony Soto, Jorge Barrerea, and Brayden Velasquez.

Meanwhile, Tehachapi and West finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

The victory got Golden Valley back to even at 5-5-3. Tehachapi's draw gives them a new season record of 3-8-5.

Golden Valley took their win against Tehachapi in their previous meeting back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 7-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Golden Valley since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
