Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Catholic Find Success

Santa Fe Catholic hadn't done well against Lakeland Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Hawks came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 5-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 1-0 back in February.

The team relied heavily on Easton Beach, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Marvin Montenegro was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Santa Fe Catholic and bumps their season record up to 21-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Lakeland Christian, they moved to 19-7 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
