Recap: Ola Mustangs vs. Dutchtown Bulldogs
After a string of three wins, The Ola Mustangs''s good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Dutchtown by a score of 20-17. Ola has struggled against Dutchtown recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Ola's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Nigel Newkirk, who rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Newkirk's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Caden Waye also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Ola's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Dutchtown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.
Ola will take on Harris County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harris County is coming into the game hot, having won their last eight games. As for Dutchtown, they will head out on the road to face off against Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on November 10th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Northgate is ranked 102nd, while Dutchtown is ranked 108th).
