IMG Academy Royal faced Orangewood Christian in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Ascenders had just enough and edged out the Rams 2-1. The win was familiar territory for the Ascenders, who have now won four games in a row.

Olivia Henry paced IMG Academy Royal's offense, picking up 13 kills. Henry got some help from Maria Otero Galan and her 38 assists. Finally, Henry was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

IMG Academy Royal's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Orangewood Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IMG Academy Royal will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Orangewood Christian, they will challenge West Orange at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
