Basketball Recap: Midway Comes Up Short

Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 66-48 to the Harker Heights Knights. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 429th, while the Knights are ranked 147th).

Midway's record now sits at 13-16. As for Harker Heights, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 24-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midway has already played their next match (against Killeen), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harker Heights will look to defend their home court on Friday against Texas Lions HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Texas Lions HomeSchool's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
