Soccer Recap: Derry Comes Up Short

Derry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Charleroi Cougars, falling 12-1. Derry were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 7-0.

Derry's loss dropped their record down to 1-13-1. As for Charleroi, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Derry will be playing in front of their home fans against Ligonier Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Charleroi, they are taking a road trip to take on Mt. Carmel Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
