Basketball Game Preview: Camas Papermakers vs. Battle Ground Tigers

The Camas Papermakers are taking a road trip to take on the Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Camas' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine games.

On Tuesday, Camas strolled past Skyview with points to spare, taking the game 82-68.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-32 loss at the hands of Union. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while the Titans are ranked 55th).

Camas pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Battle Ground, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Camas came up short against Battle Ground in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 76-67. Can Camas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
