Basketball Recap: Nico Downie Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat King City

Monte Vista Christian won the last time they faced King City and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs walked away with a 52-44 win over the King City Mustangs.

Monte Vista Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nico Downie out in front who went 6 of 15 on his way to 14 points along with six boards and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Dobler, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Monte Vista Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for King City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Monte Vista Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-52 loss against Oakwood on the 14th. As for King City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-42 defeat against York on the 13th.
