Volleyball Recap: Lindsay Starts Season with Win on the Road

Lindsay had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Farmersville Aztecs by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Lindsay was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (91-86), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 11-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Arianna Medrano paced Lindsay's offense, picking up 11 kills. Medrano got some help from Alyah Ibarra and her 11 assists. Irene Gonzalez controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lindsay will challenge Alpaugh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Farmersville, they will welcome Avenal at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
