Out-of-Door Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Sarasota Sailors by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Thunder, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all four sets (91-90) Out-of-Door Academy actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 15-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Ella Kwon paced Out-of-Door Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Kwon got some help from Emmy Coachys and her 31 assists. Finally, Gabi Schauenberg kept Out-of-Door Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Out-of-Door Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Sarasota, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
