Softball Recap: Resurrection Catholic Takes a Loss

Resurrection Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-0 to the Salem Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 last Thursday.

Resurrection Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Salem, they pushed their record up to 12-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Resurrection Catholic will head out to square off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.73 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Salem, they will host East Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.87 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
