California School for the Deaf-Riverside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 60-0 victory over the Animo Robinson Monarchs. Winning may never get old, but the Cubs sure are getting used to it with their 13th in a row dating back to last season.

Among those leading the charge was Morgan Hawkins, who picked up 51 receiving yards and two TDs. That's the most receiving yards he has posted since back in October of 2024.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on New Designs Watts at 7:30 p.m. on September 11. As for Animo Robinson, they will take on Sage Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
