California School for the Deaf-Riverside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Animo Robinson Monarchs 60-0 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Cubs, who have now won 13 matches in a row dating back to last season.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside can attribute much of their success to Morgan Hawkins, who picked up 51 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Hawkins has posted since back in October of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to California School for the Deaf-Riverside's defense and their three sacks. Mathew Silvay was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against New Designs Watts at 7:30 p.m. on the 11th. As for Animo Robinson, they will venture away from home to challenge Sage Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
