California School for the Deaf-Riverside had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Animo Robinson Monarchs 60-0 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Cubs, who have now won 13 matches in a row dating back to last season.
California School for the Deaf-Riverside can attribute much of their success to Morgan Hawkins, who picked up 51 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. That's the most receiving yards Hawkins has posted since back in October of 2024.
