Football Game Preview: Norwell Knights vs. Columbia City Eagles

The Norwell Knights will head out to face off against the Columbia City Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Norwell hasn't scored more than seven points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Norwell is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Huntington North on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights took a blow against the Vikings, falling 48-7. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Columbia City and Leo, and Leo kept the tradition alive. The Eagles lost 30-7 to the Lions on Friday. The Eagles were down 30-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Norwell's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Columbia City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Norwell was dealt a bruising 49-7 loss at the hands of Columbia City in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 49-7.
