John Paul II Catholic is 0-10 against Wayne Country Day since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The John Paul II Catholic Saints will head out to take on the Wayne Country Day Chargers at 7:00 p.m.

John Paul II Catholic fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Southeast Halifax on December 12th but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans.

John Paul II Catholic's loss came about despite a quality game from Jamal Biggs, who posted 20 points and six rebounds. Biggs' evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabe Lewis, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Wayne Country Day came tearing into Saturday's game with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 75-62 victory over the Bulldogs.

Wayne Country Day has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points per game. As for John Paul II Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

John Paul II Catholic might still be hurting after the 80-54 loss they got from Wayne Country Day in their previous meeting back in January. Thankfully for John Paul II Catholic, Carlos Vazquez (who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
