Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Vardaman). They blew past the Smithville Seminoles 13-1 on Tuesday. The Rams have beaten the Seminoles the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Seminoles has come to flipping the script.

Brady White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Grant Parker was a standout: he scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Cooper Easley was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Vardaman back to even at 5-5. As for Smithville, their defeat was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Vardaman will have a chance to go back-to-back against Smithville: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
