Volleyball Recap: Brewer Takes a Loss

Brewer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hartselle Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in September.

Hartselle was led to victory by Taylor Reaviel and Lily Widner. Reaviel had 14 digs and one assist, while Widner had six digs. That's the most digs Widner has posted since back in September.

Brewer's defeat dropped their record down to 23-13. As for Hartselle, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-10 record this season.

Brewer has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Decatur on the 4th. As for Hartselle, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Chelsea on the 4th.
