Basketball Recap: Latta Comes Up Short

Latta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Dale Pirates, falling 74-53. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-34 back in December of 2024.

Latta's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Dale, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-2.

Latta has already played their next contest (against Stonewall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dale will venture away from home to challenge Fairland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matchups -- so hopefully Fairland likes a good challenge.
