Softball Game Preview: Fayette Ware Wildcats vs. Bolivar Central Tigers

Fayette Ware is 0-8 against Bolivar Central since April of 2017 but things could change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. Fayette Ware has given up an average of 14 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fayette Ware is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They walked away with a 30-25 win over Liberty Tech Magnet on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Zoie Young was a standout: she got on base in five of her seven plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those five stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Rebekah Thompson, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one RBI.

Bolivar Central played against Bolton on Thursday and won via forfeit.

The win made it two in a row for Bolivar Central and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Fayette Ware, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-16.
