Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Donovan

Donovan waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Lowpoint-Washburn. For Donovan, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win Lowpoint-Washburn walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Layne Hefflefinger paced Donovan's offense, picking up ten kills. Hefflefinger got some help from Lily Anderson and her 20 assists. Finally, Chloe Ponton kept Donovan's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Donovan's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

Donovan has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against DeLand-Weldon on the 4th. As for Lowpoint-Washburn, they will be playing at home against Putnam County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
