Volleyball Recap: Village Comes Up Short

Village was the 3-1 winner over Ralston Valley when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mountaineers fell 2-0 to the Mustangs on Friday. The Mountaineers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Norah Hollis paced Village's offense, picking up six kills. Hollis got some help from Addison Miller and her 14 assists.

Ralston Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Harteker led the charge by getting ten assists and four aces.

Village now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Ralston Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Village wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Castle View on the 29th. As for Ralston Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Chaparral on the 29th.
