Basketball Recap: Fort Hill Comes Up Short

Fort Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 57-35 to the Mountain Ridge Miners. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Miners this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-34 back in January.

Mountain Ridge found their leader in sophomore Taylor Lamberson, who posted 19 points. Lamberson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Fort Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mountain Ridge, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coincidentally, Fort Hill and Mountain Ridge will both be playing Southern the next time they take the court. Fort Hill will head out to face Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mountain Ridge will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
