Basketball Game Preview: Loyal Greyhounds vs. Greenwood Indians

The Loyal Greyhounds will venture away from home to face off against the Greenwood Indians at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Greenwood took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Loyal, who comes in off a win.

Loyal will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Neillsville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Loyal pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over Neillsville on Tuesday. 53 seems to be a good number for the Greyhounds as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Gilman, falling 61-39.

The win made it two in a row for Loyal and bumps their season record up to 13-4. As for Greenwood, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Everything came up roses for Loyal against Greenwood in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 57-30 victory. Will Loyal repeat their success, or does Greenwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
