Lee County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Richmond Senior Raiders 3-0. The Yellow Jackets not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While Lee County won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-21, 26-24.

Mckenzy McDougald paced Lee County's offense, picking up 15 kills. McDougald got some help from Hannah Britton and her 29 assists. Britton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Lee County has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Northwood on the 14th. As for Richmond Senior, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Purnell Swett on the 14th.
