Burke had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-3 to make it six. They had to suffer through a 70-20 loss at the hands of the Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence Jaguars. On the bright side, the 20- point effort marked the Bulldogs' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. Considering their offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Palaal Crawford went supernova, rushing for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 64 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Alexander Mitchell was in the mix too, providing Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence with two TDs.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Burke and Timberland will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. This will be the Bulldogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Ridgeland Secondary Academy Of Excellence, they have already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Hardeeville on the 26th.
