Football Recap: Perry Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Perry, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 28-15 victory over the Veterans Warhawks on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Warhawks: they've now won five in a row.

Decorrion Daniels produced another solid effort rushing for 120 yards and two scores on only 13 carries, while also catching one touchdown. Those 120 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Reid Ginn was another key player, throwing for 220 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Perry was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Perry didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Johntavious Carswell.

The victory got Perry back to even at 2-2. As for Veterans, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-2.

Coming up, Perry will square off against East Coweta at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Veterans, they will face off against Warner Robins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
