Volleyball Recap: Bard Early College Continues Home Dominance on Monday

It's playoff time, and Bard Early College had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Max S. Hayes Lakers 3-2 on Monday. The Raptors haven't had any issues with the Lakers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bard Early College was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-13, 20-25, 25-13, 15-11.

Leading Bard Early College to victory were Alonso Ezell and Traceson Alexander. Ezell had 26 digs and two assists, while Alexander had seven kills. Ezell has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 11 times he's played.

Bard Early College was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 21 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last four games.

Bard Early College pushed their record up to 17-4 with the win, which was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season. As for Max S. Hayes, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.

After both having extra time off, Bard Early College and Lincoln West will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on the 13th. The Raptors are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Max S. Hayes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
