Basketball Game Preview: Christoval Cougars vs. Sterling City Eagles

The Christoval Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the Sterling City Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Christoval has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three matches.

Christoval will head into Tuesday's game on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Ozona on Tuesday. Christoval claimed a resounding 82-43 win over Ozona. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Sterling City challenged Reagan County on Tuesday. Sterling City fell 58-51 to Reagan County. The Eagles have struggled against the Owls recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Christoval is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Sterling City, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-5.
