Volleyball Recap: Penn Cambria Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Penn Cambria lost against Hollidaysburg back in September of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Tigers. While the Panthers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Tigers 25-20 in the first set.

Penn Cambria started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Penn Cambria saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Madelyn Kittell had 28 assists and ten digs. Kittell has been hot, having posted 18 or more assists the last six times she's played.

Penn Cambria's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7-1. As for Hollidaysburg, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Penn Cambria will head out to face off against Penns Valley Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hollidaysburg, they will be playing at home against Westmont Hilltop at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
