Class 3A takes center stage in two matchups featuring for undefeated teams.

There is no shortage of intriguing matchups as the Colorado high school football season reaches Week 7.

The 3A classification, perhaps, provides the two best games of the week, featuring four unbeaten teams among the state's Top 25. No. 8 Lutheran (Parker) (5-0) faces Evergreen (5-0) in what should be the first true test for each team. Lutheran, behind senior quarterback Clayton Jacobs, is averaging 53 points a game and has scored at least 60 points in three consecutive games. Comparatively, Evergreen has outscored its opponents 211-45.

No. 13 Mead (Longmont) will be at 10th-ranked Roosevelt (Johnstown) in the other top-shelf 3A game.

The 5A ranks features three quality contests, including No. 9 Grandview (Aurora) and second-ranked and two-time defending state champion Cherry Creek (Greenwood Village) in a game of Centennial League heavyweights. Also, No. 5 Regis Jesuit (Aurora) meets third-ranked Legend (Parker) and city rivals No. 25 Pomona (Arvada) and No. 4 Ralston Valley (Arvada) square off.

Another game of note has No. 11 Palmer Ridge (Monument) against Ponderosa (Parker) in the top 4A offering of the week. Both teams are 5-1.
