Foley proved they can win big on Monday (they won by ten) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bayshore Christian Eagles, sneaking past 6-4. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brady Nichols looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anthony Leverette, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tray Aust, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

The victory got Foley back to even at 2-2. As for Bayshore Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Foley will be playing in front of their home fans against Citronelle at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bayshore Christian, they will face off against Satsuma at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
