Volleyball Recap: Delaware Christian Takes a Loss

Delaware Christian was the 3-0 winner over Tree of Life Christian when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Trojans on Friday.

Delaware Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Tree of Life Christian work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-20, 25-22, 23-25, 25-16.

Katie Hobbs paced Delaware Christian's offense, picking up 16 kills. Hobbs got some help from Sienna Witt and her 15 assists. Achaia Marquis controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Mimi Cochran was a one-woman wrecking crew For Tree of Life Christian. as she had 19 assists and ten digs. That's the most assists Cochran has posted over her last ten contests.

Delaware Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Tree of Life Christian, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Delaware Christian will square off against rival Liberty Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Tree of Life Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Granville Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
