Preview: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds
Jensen Beach is 1-8 against Lincoln Park Academy since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Jensen Beach Falcons will head out on the road to challenge the Lincoln Park Academy Greyhounds at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Jensen Beach comes in on three and Lincoln Park Academy on 13.
Last Friday, Jensen Beach strolled past Somerset College Prep Academy with points to spare, taking the game 64-50.
Lizzie Fitzwater continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Moayra McFadden was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
In what's become a running theme this season, Lincoln Park Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Okeechobee 77-18 at home. Given Lincoln Park Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Okeechobee is ranked 388th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Olivia Titherington, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 5 assists. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Alexa Titherington, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Jensen Beach's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Lincoln Park Academy, they pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
Jensen Beach didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Lincoln Park Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win.
