The Hialeah Thoroughbreds will head out on the road to face off against the Somerset Academy Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hialeah is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Downtown Doral with a sharp 18-5 victory on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thoroughbreds as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Hialeah got a massive performance out of Christopher Reyes, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Alex Perez also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.

Kareem Amer looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February.

On the hitting side, Matthew Fari?as was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Jon Mora was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Hialeah's record is now 5-8. As for Somerset Academy, their record now sits at 9-13.
