Sedgwick County won the last time they faced Akron and things went their way on Saturday too. The Sedgwick County Cougars came out on top against the Akron Rams by a score of 56-44.

Several Rams players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Poss, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Filla, who posted 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Sedgwick County's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Akron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-11.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Sedgwick County will challenge Hoehne at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sedgwick County is facing Hoehne at the right time seeing as Hoehne is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Akron, they will take on Twin Peaks Classical Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Twin Peaks Classical Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
