Football Recap: Chesapeake Cougars vs. South Carroll Cavaliers
Chesapeake had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Carroll Cavaliers on Friday. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Manny Rodrigues was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown. South Carroll also got a significant boost from Anthony Rodrigues, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 83 yards.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake will square off against Queen Anne's County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Carroll, they will face off against Linganore at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
