Canterbury takes loss despite strong efforts from Zy'nasia Alhuzaifi and MacKenzie Tucker

The Canterbury Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to St. Petersburg.
Canterbury's loss came despite strong showings from MacKenzie Tucker and Zy'nasia Alhuzaifi. Tucker scored 18 points along with four steals, while Alhuzaifi dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Alhuzaifi scored a full 33.3% of Canterbury's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Canterbury's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for St. Petersburg, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
