Basketball Recap: Brevard Christian Starts Season with Win Against Odyssey Charter School

Brevard Christian took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-41 win over the Odyssey Charter School Titans. That's more bragging rights for the War Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brevard Christian had a senior duo take command as Aidan Bennett shot 53% from the field on his way to 23 points and eight rebounds and Gabriel Mitchell dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. Julian Vizcarrondo was another key player, going 6-for-14 to rack up 13 points.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Brevard Christian is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Odyssey Charter School, they will face off against Sebastian River at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th.
