League recap: Murray bests Crittenden County in blowout

Murray took down Crittenden County 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.

The Tigers led 2A District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 41 points on the Rockets.

Reidland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Greyhounds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alex Almon has thrown for 161 yards this season, while Cody McClintock has four catches for 75 yards. Austin Ringstaff leads the league in rushing with 321 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Murray takes on second place Caldwell County. Last week, Murray topped Crittenden County, while Caldwell County.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Steve Duncan's team takes on the Tigers. The Tigers have allowed 78 points this season, while Caldwell County has given up 161. Murray allowed 0 points last week as it defeated Al Starnes' team.

Ballard Memorial made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,992 from 11,965. The improvement came about via a 35-7 victory over Reidland last week.
