Recap: East Grand Rapids Pioneers vs. Coopersville Broncos
On Friday, East Grand Rapids and Coopersville were almost perfectly matched up, but East Grand Rapids suffered an agonizing 14-13 defeat.
When it comes to explaining why East Grand Rapids lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Cannon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
East Grand Rapids' defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Coopersville, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
East Grand Rapids does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Coopersville is on the road again on Friday and play against Zeeland West at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Michigan (Zeeland West is ranked 26th, while Coopersville is ranked 33rd).
