Baseball Recap: South Lyon Lions vs. Dexter Dreadnaughts

South Lyon lost against Dexter last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions fell just short of the Dreadnaughts by a score of 6-5. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luke Stevens was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single hit and allowing only one earned run while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Gavin Crowley was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Andrew Verona-Kerley, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

South Lyon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Dexter, the win was the sixth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.
