Football Recap: Wolfe City Skates Past Whitewright with Ease

Wolfe City had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 62-23 win over the Whitewright Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four contests by 35 points or more so far this season.

Hd Davis had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 220 yards and four TDs on only 15 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards. His longest rush was for an impressive 68 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Noah Adams, who gained 272 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wolfe City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Wolfe City's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Whitewright, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
