South Webster is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Valley. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Emma Campbell and Addi Claxon were among the main playmakers for South Webster as the former had eight digs and eight assists and the latter had 25 digs, 11 kills, and four aces. Claxon is crushing it when it comes to kills: she's had at least six every time she's taken the court this season. Chloe Milligan also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Meanwhile, Newark Catholic made easy work of Shenandoah on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.
South Webster better focus on containing Christiana Scarsella and Veronica Bailey as the pair were huge in Newark Catholic's win. Scarsella had nine digs and two aces, while Bailey had eight digs and three assists.
Newark Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matches.
Newark Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 24-0. As for South Webster, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.
