They claimed a resounding 51-21 win over Lakeland Christian Academy on the road. The win made it back-to-back wins for Elkhart Christian Academy.
Elkhart Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryleigh Viront out in front who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sheridan Maxwell, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Lakeland Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Dayton Sibert, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.
The victory got Elkhart Christian Academy back to even at 8-8. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elkhart Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Lakewood Park Christian at 3:30 p.m. on January 6th. Lakewood Park Christian will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Lakeland Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Argos at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
