Softball Game Preview: Pascagoula Panthers vs. Picayune Maroon Tide

For the second straight game, Pascagoula will face off against Picayune. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Maroon Tide at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Pascagoula turned things around against Picayune on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Maroon Tide. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 20th.

Anneleese Rabon made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. Rabon was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, Asante Dawson was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Khyliyah Moore was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Picayune has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Pascagoula, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
