Football Recap: Gunnison Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After soaring to 38 points the game before, Gunnison was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell 13-7 to the Salida Spartans. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Ethan Pierce threw for 112 yards on nine of 14 attempts. Nolan Frymoyer was his top target, picking up 44 receiving yards. On the ground, Del Magdaleno rushed for 56 yards.

Gunnison's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Salida, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

As of now, neither Gunnison nor the Spartans have any future games scheduled.
