Basketball Game Preview: Collierville Dragons vs. Southwind Jaguars

The Collierville Dragons and the Southwind Jaguars will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Collierville is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 90-54 loss at the hands of Cordova. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Southwind challenged Bartlett on Tuesday. Southwind came up short against Bartlett, falling 67-46. The Jaguars have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Collierville will need focus on slowing down Dallas Berkley, one of several Southwind players who made an impact when they last played. He went 6 for 10 on his way to 13 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Edwards, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 10 points.

Southwind's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Collierville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
