Baseball Game Preview: Munford Cougars vs. Tullahoma Wildcats

The Munford Cougars will take on the Tullahoma Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Munford 3.7, Tullahoma 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Tullahoma will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Munford extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Cougars came out on top against White House by a score of 7-3.

Meanwhile, Tullahoma had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They didn't even let White House on the board on Thursday, marking the Wildcats' second-straight 3-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

The result came thanks to Grayson Waller's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tullahoma's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Schmisseur, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Schmisseur has posted since back in April.

Munford's win bumped their record up to 22-15. As for Tullahoma, their victory bumped their record up to 32-11.
