Soccer Game Preview: Beauregard vs. Holtville

Beauregard hasn't had much luck against Holtville recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Beauregard Hornets will challenge the Holtville Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Beauregard has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Last Tuesday, Beauregard came up short against Tallassee and fell 5-3.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holtville). They never let Booker T. Washington Magnet get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Bulldogs' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Beauregard now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Holtville, their win bumped their record up to 2-5-1.

Beauregard suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Holtville when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Beauregard avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
