Turner Ashby is 9-1 against Fort Defiance since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Knights will host the Indians at 5:30 p.m. Turner Ashby will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, Turner Ashby earned a 9-6 win over Spotswood.

Caden Simmers was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He also launched a home run, marking his first of the season. Grady Bowman was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Fort Defiance won against Buffalo Gap on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Indians beat Rockbridge County by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 7-1. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Fort Defiance picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Turner Ashby, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Turner Ashby beat Fort Defiance 7-2 when the teams last played back in March. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
